Tuesdays from 2:00–3:15 PM, Oct. 21, 28; Nov. 4, 18, and Dec. 2, 9, 16 No Session on November 11 (Labor Day) and November 25 (Thanksgiving Week). "The Breadwinner" tells the inspiring story of an 11-year-old girl named Parvana, who lives in Afghanistan under the Taliban's rule in 2001. When her father is mistakenly taken away, her family struggles to make ends meet and faces the threat of starvation. To help support them, brave Parvana decides to cut her hair and disguise herself as a boy, venturing out to earn money as the family's "breadwinner." The tale beautifully shows her incredible journey of courage, resilience, and the magic of storytelling, all while navigating challenging times. (7 sessions)
